Crucible Performance is a Sports Performance Training Facility in Maryland. They were one of the very first performance space customers for Perch and have implemented VBT and sports technology with their athletes young and old.

GETTING STARTED WITH VELOCITY BASED TRAINING

In an effort to enhance offerings and set their facility apart, Crucible Performance opted to add critical technology like Perch and WHOOP to their facility a few years ago. The immediate results they saw were incredible.

“We had an athlete who added 30 lbs to his squat in three weeks, and was moving it the same velocity. Objective data gave him the motivation to do that. Intent is so important!”

IMPLEMENTING VBT AT CRUCIBLE PERFORMANCE

Data is the gold standard. It’s the feedback Crucible coaches and clients are chasing each and every day. But data needs to be consistently collected to make it worthwhile. OUR TIPS & TRICKS

Train fast, move fast, and enhance intent! With instant feedback on every rep, we can see in live time if an athlete is on track for their goals. We can also enhance the competitve atmosphere with Perch's leaderboard, no matter who is training at what times. Clients can compete against themselves and everyone else with Perch data.

Autoregulate, prescribed loads are guidelines. Daily fluctuations are real, be flexible, listen to the data, and keep clients healthy.

Diversify offerings. Not everyone needs to lift a house, train smart, train to the client, and give them goals to hit besides loads or percentages.
